Glaucoma Treatment
From laser and micro-implants to advanced surgery, we lower eye pressure to protect your vision for the long term.
What Is Glaucoma?
Glaucoma is an eye disease that damages the optic nerve, which is essential for good vision. This damage is often caused by increased pressure inside the eye (intraocular pressure, or IOP). If left untreated, glaucoma can lead to irreversible vision loss and blindness.
Because early glaucoma often has no symptoms, routine eye exams are key. Your doctor evaluates your eye pressure and examines the optic nerve for early signs of damage.
Types of Glaucoma
Chronic Open-Angle Glaucoma
The most common form. The drainage system works poorly, causing fluid and pressure to build gradually with little early warning.
Angle-Closure Glaucoma
Less common but urgent. The drainage angle becomes blocked, causing rapid pressure rise, severe pain, nausea and sudden vision loss. It is a medical emergency.
Treatment Options
We offer a full range of laser, implant and surgical treatments.
Selective Laser Trabeculoplasty (SLT)
A quick, in-office procedure of about 10 minutes that can lower eye pressure by up to 30%.

An FDA-approved implant that delivers continuous medication without daily eye drops.
MIGS
Minimally invasive glaucoma surgery including goniotomy, canaloplasty and trabecular stents.
iStent inject W
